Library Services and Resources During Coronavirus Response

The Medical Center Library & Archives is working closely with university officials to minimize the potential spread of the coronavirus while maintaining library services and resources in support of clinical care, education, and research.

To that end, effective Friday March 13th at 5 pm, the Medical Center Library & Archives, located in the Seeley G. Mudd Bldg, will be Duke Health badge access only 24/7 with Library staff working remotely.

Effective August 4, 2014, the Medical Center Library & Archives will close to the public at 6p instead of 7p. All Duke Medicine Badge Holders will continue to have 24-hour card access.

24-hour Access!

Beginning February 4, 2013, the Library will provide 24-hour access to the building for Duke Medicine faculty, students, and clinical staff.

  • Hours are open to the public: Monday - Friday 8 am to 7 pm
  • Card access all other hours for Duke Medicine faculty, students, and clinical staff with ID badges
  • Duke University faculty and students, TRLN faculty and students, and other authorized users can have extended access during the following hours:  Monday-Friday: 7 pm -12 midnight; Saturday: 12 noon - 8 pm; Sunday: 12 noon - 12 midnight. These users must present a current university ID or be on our authorized list.
