Donor support creates meaningful impact on the Medical Center Library and Archives. Your support directly contributes to our success in several critical areas:

Facilitating Innovation and Discovery:

  • Our library serves as a knowledge hub, offering access to cutting-edge research articles, clinical guidelines, and essential resources for researchers, clinicians, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Our staff provide expert guidance in evidence-based clinical practice, information literacy, and the implementation of open science initiatives.

Fostering Collaboration:

  • Our technology-enabled spaces empower students, faculty, and staff to collaborate, exchange ideas, and create transformative solutions.
  • We are launching a master planning process to develop next-generation library spaces that unite interdisciplinary and interprofessional teams.

Preserving Institutional History:

  • We safeguard historical documents, photographs, and archives that chronicle the evolution of healthcare and medical knowledge within Duke Health.
  • Our staff promote Duke Health's rich history through research consultations, academic courses, and exhibits.

The Medical Center Library and Archives accepts some artifacts, manuscripts, and papers of key figures in healthcare and medicine at Duke University. For donations of historical materials, please contact Russell Koonts, Director of the Medical Center Archives at russell.koonts@duke.edu.

For questions about supporting the mission of the Library and Archives, please contact Megan von Isenburg, Associate Dean, at megan.vonisenburg@duke.edu.

If you are not sure whether your gift fits one of the categories above, we will be glad to discuss it with you to determine if it is within our scope of Library or Archives collections.
