The Medical Center Library & Archives is located in the Seeley G. Mudd building, next to Duke University Hospital and the Trent Semans Building. A DukeCard badge access is required to enter the library at all times.
DukeCard Access: Includes all students, faculty, and staff with a Duke Health badge or a Duke University badge with a HID chip.
After-hours Access (evenings & weekends): Access is limited to School of Medicine students and faculty, School of Nursing students and faculty, Watts College of Nursing affiliates, and Graduate Medical Education trainees with a valid DukeCard.

On evenings and weekends, study rooms and cubicles are first-come, first-served.
- Please plan to pickup hold and interlibrary loan books during desk hours. Book pickups are not available outside desk hours.
- Self-checkout will be available for checking out materials in the level 1 reading room from our on-site collections from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
