We have recently implemented a new library system, and there are some changes that might affect your experience using our library resources as a result. 

One of these changes is our e-journals interface. With the new system, our e-journals interface looks significantly different. All of the content you are used to seeing remains available in this new interface, and you are still able to search for e-journals from our library website.

The Third Year at the Duke School of Medicine provides M.D. program students the opportunity to dig deep into biomedical-related research. The results of these research projects are presented annually at the Medical Student Research Symposium. Now in its 55th year, the symposium, held this year on August 1 – 2nd in the Trent Semans Center for Health Education, highlights the unique scholarly accomplishments of third year medical students. Medical student posters from 2020 – present are available in the Medical Center Archives’ MEDSpace digital repository of scholarly works from the institution.

Zotero helps you insert references into your text as well as create a reference list at the end of your paper in a variety of styles. Working together with Word and Google Docs, this open program is free up to 300 MB of storage.

This class will show you the basics of getting started in Zotero including adding references to your Zotero library, creating collections, and mastering tools to cite sources in your research papers. A building wide HVAC upgrade began on November 8, 2023 and will continue through the December 2024. 

Mon. 8/5-Wed. 8/7 (starting at 6a) Air handling unit 4 will be replaced but no impact on air flow comfort. Occupants may be impacted by significant noise but mostly on 8/5/24.

Mon. 8/12-Fri. 8/16 (starting at 6a) Air handling unit 3 return fan will be replaced but no impact on air flow comfort. Occupants may be impacted by significant noise but mostly on 8/13/24.     

Fri. 8/23-Sun. 8/25 (starting at 6a) Air handling unit 3 will be replaced and there will be no air flow to Level 2 during this time. Temporary cool units will be put in place but occupants may not be as comfortable as in normal operation.…

Launched in 2018, the All of Us Research Program is an NIH longitudinal cohort study aimed at advancing precision medicine and improving human health by partnering with more than one million US participants. To provide rich opportunities for researchers in all career stages, the All of Us program is building a unique biomedical dataset of expansive health data from diverse populations, particularly those underrepresented in biomedical research.
