To support Duke researchers in sharing their research data, a new resource is available on MyResearchPath. Posted On: Friday, April 25, 2025 - 15:21 by Brandi Tuttle
When it comes to point-of-care resources, UpToDate tends to be the go-to. It’s familiar, widely used, and offers a thorough narrative approach to clinical questions. But if you haven’t taken a look at DynaMed, we encourage you to explore it—it offers a different style that many users find valuable.
While both are evidence-based tools designed to support clinical care, the presentation of information varies:
- UpToDate presents content in longer, narrative-style sections.
- DynaMed favors a concise, bulleted format with a clear hierarchy of information, making…

Staff Highlight: Uyen Nguyen
Posted On: Friday, April 11, 2025 - 14:56 by Brandi Tuttle
Uyen Nguyen is the most recent addition to our staff at the Medical Center Library. She was born in the city of Hanoi in Vietnam. Growing up, Uyen always knew she wanted a job that would allow her to support people in a service-related field. After moving to the U.S. at 16, she began to think more about what her career path might be.
During the pandemic, Uyen used much of the initial lockdown time for self-reflection and gaining perspective. She explored opportunities in national nonprofit fields and considered whether her path might lead abroad or keep her stateside. While working at the Goucher College Library, she quickly realized how much she enjoyed this line of work. Not long after, she saw a job posting here at the Duke Medical Center Library and applied.Â
