Replacement of Lower Level Air Handling Units

A building wide HVAC upgrade began on November 8, 2023 and will continue through the December 2024. 

Mon. 8/5-Wed. 8/7 (starting at 6a) Air handling unit 4 will be replaced but no impact on air flow comfort. Occupants may be impacted by significant noise but mostly on 8/5/24.

Mon. 8/12-Fri. 8/16 (starting at 6a) Air handling unit 3 return fan will be replaced but no impact on air flow comfort. Occupants may be impacted by significant noise but mostly on 8/13/24.     

Fri. 8/23-Sun. 8/25 (starting at 6a) Air handling unit 3 will be replaced and there will be no air flow to Level 2 during this time. Temporary cool units will be put in place but occupants may not be as comfortable as in normal operation.…

A building wide HVAC upgrade will affect the Medical Center Library & Archives beginning November 8, 2023. Work will continue through the summer and may result in temperature disruptions and construction noise. We appreciate your patience throughout this project!

Now Open: Audio/Video Recording Studio

Creating high quality recordings for a podcast, class, or interview can be a challenge on a busy medical campus. Our new Audio/Video Recording Studio, which features acoustic wall panels and recording equipment, is designed to make it easier.

The Audio/Video Recording Studio is located in Room 322 on Level 3 of the Medical Center Library & Archives and is available for reservation Monday – Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Once you have a reservation, stop by our Service Desk to check out the key to the room.

Find Your Favorite Space!

 A couple of years ago, we moved over 3,000 linear feet of bound journals and steel shelving on Level 3 to make room for more study space.

This space includes:
• 11 individual carrels that can seat up to 2 people, with doors for privacy
• 2 open carrels
• 3 group study rooms (rooms 315, 316, 319)
Mestro Care terminals (room 320)
• 10 “Resolve Units” with 3 individual work surfaces
• Casual seating

In addition to Level 3, we have a variety of other study spaces available in the Library. On
