Stay Up-to-date with Read by QXMD or Researcher!

Feel like you are missing important articles? Struggling to stay up-to-date with your favorite journals? Want easier access to the full text articles on your mobile phone? Tools like Read by QxMD or Researcher allow you to create personalized feeds of the research that matters to you. They're mobile-friendly, free, and set up is easy!

First, create an account at Read by QxMD (https://read.qxmd.com/) or Researcher (https://www.researcher-app.com/). You can also search in the Google Play or Apple App stores to download the apps.

    • For Read by QxMD, make sure to add Duke as your institution in the "Account Settings" section under “Institutional Access.”
    • For Researcher, you'll need to select "Enable Institutional Access" in the settings on the mobile app to obtain full-text access.

These apps provide seamless access to Duke's subscription articles and journals while curating the content you care about. You can create collections of articles and easily share them with others. You can also annotate, organize, and share citations via social media and email. Read by QxMD and Researcher can be linked with Mendeley. Researcher also integrates with Zotero.

Please note: Both of these apps allow external groups to promote content. This means an organization or company, even a drug company, could promote articles to you. So, use your critical appraisal skills when looking at promoted articles, which we’re sure you are doing anyway!
