The NIH now requires the use of the Common Forms—Biosketch and Current & Pending (Other) Support—for all applications and RPPRs submitted on or after January 25, 2026. Please see NOT-OD-26-018 for full details.
What This Means for Researchers:
- Applicants and recipients must use SciENcv (Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae) to prepare and certify NIH Biosketch and Current & Pending (Other) Support forms. SciENcv generates the digitally certified PDFs for submission.
- All senior/key personnel must have an ORCID iD and it must be linked to their eRA Commons account.
Before Creating Your NIH Biosketch in SciENcv
To ensure a smooth setup, complete the following steps:
- Review and update your ORCID profile, including publications.
- Link your ORCID iD to your eRA Commons Person Profile
- Log in to My NCBI and confirm your account is linked to your ORCID iD, eRA Commons, and Duke University.
- Add delegates to your MyNCBI account (MyBibliography, SciENcv, or both), if needed.
