🍂 Fall Seed Library 🍂

Fall into Gardening with the Medical Center Library & Archives' Seed Library!

As the crisp air and colorful leaves signal the arrival of fall, it's the perfect time to plant something new! The Medical Center Library & Archives' Seed Library is here to help you embrace the season with new seed offerings.

Inspired by our Medical Garden, the Seed Library encourages our community to grow gardens filled with medicinal and native plants—and now, fall vegetables too!

📍 Find us at the Service Desk on Level 2R, where you can browse a variety of free seeds ready for planting.

🌱 Available Fall Seeds:

  • Parsley (Italian Giant)

  • Beet (Lutz Green Leaf)

  • Radish (Halloween Mix)

  • Spinach (Winter Giant)

  • Fennel (Florence)

  • Kale (Lacinato)

  • Chicory

This festive mix is perfect for autumn planting—quick to grow, colorful, and ideal for seasonal dishes or spooky harvest fun!

We refresh our seed selection twice a year, and we’re exploring the possibility of accepting seed donations in the future. All of these seeds have been sourced from Sow True Seed, a small seed company located in Asheville, North Carolina.

🎃 Stop by, pick up your seeds, and celebrate the season!
