As part of our ongoing efforts to help ensure the safety and security of our community of learners, educators, administrators, the external doors to Seeley G. Mudd building will transition to badge access only, 24/7, beginning Friday, September 5, 2025.
All students, faculty, and staff who have a badge issued by the School of Medicine and/or the Duke University Medical Center or a Duke University badge with a HID chip will have badge access to the Mudd building Monday - Friday, 7 am - 5 pm.
After hours badge access to the Library, including nights and weekends, will be restricted to students and faculty from the SOM, SON, Watts College of Nursing and GME trainees.
As a reminder, all students, faculty and staff are required to wear your Duke issued ID badge at all times when on campus. This will not only ensure your assigned access to buildings and facilities, it is a critical piece of our safety and security protocols and policies.
